The calculator above does not account for allowable business expenses, which reduce your taxable profit further. As an OnlyFans creator running a Ltd, you can typically claim:

  • Equipment and tech – cameras, lighting, ring lights, tripods, phones, laptops, editing software
  • Content costs – outfits, lingerie, props, sets, makeup, hair, nails, tanning (when used for content)
  • Internet and phone – a portion of your monthly bills used for work
  • Home office – a percentage of rent, utilities, and council tax if you shoot at home
  • Platform fees – the 20% OnlyFans takes is a business expense, along with any other platform or payment processing fees
  • Subscriptions – editing apps, scheduling tools, cloud storage, music licensing
  • Professional services – accountant fees, agency management fees, legal costs
  • Marketing – paid ads, social media tools, promotional costs
  • Travel – transport to shoots, hotel stays for content trips

Every pound you claim as an expense is a pound you do not pay corporation tax on. For many creators, this adds thousands in additional savings on top of the figures above.

Other Ltd benefits for OnlyFans creators

  • Income splitting – if you have a partner or family member who helps with your page (editing, admin, moderation), you can pay them a salary or issue them shares, spreading income across lower tax bands
  • Pension contributions – your company can pay directly into a pension, which counts as a business expense. No income tax, no NI, no corporation tax on those funds
  • Retained profits – OnlyFans income can fluctuate month to month. Keeping money in the company and drawing it in quieter months means you control when (and how much) tax you pay
  • Professional credibility – a registered company can make it easier to open business bank accounts, negotiate brand deals, and separate your personal and business finances
  • Limited liability – your personal assets are legally separate from the company, which matters as your earnings grow

Should you form a Ltd?

At lower earnings, the admin costs of running a limited company (accountant fees, filing, bookkeeping) can outweigh the tax savings. Most accountants suggest it starts making sense around £30,000 to £40,000 in annual profit. Above that, the savings grow quickly.

We help our creators navigate this. We are not financial advisors, but we can point you toward a qualified accountant who understands the creator economy and guide you through the process of forming a Ltd when the time is right.

This calculator provides general estimates based on 2025/26 UK tax rates. It does not account for other income, expenses, student loan repayments, or individual circumstances. This is not financial advice. Always speak to a qualified accountant before making decisions about your tax structure.
